Innovations for Development (I4DEV) has launched a pilot initiative at Faith Mulira Health Care Centre to improve access to essential medicines for chronic conditions. The organisation recently delivered a consignment of medicines for diabetes and hypertension, as part of its commitment to improving community health outcomes.

This pilot aims to test how patients in the area receive and utilise these medicines, to learn more about their real-world challenges, from availability and affordability to consistent usage and follow-up care. By monitoring patient uptake and feedback, Innovations for Development hopes to inform a larger, more sustainable distribution model in the future.
“Many patients living with chronic conditions like diabetes and hypertension face daily struggles in accessing the medicines they need. This donation is a practical step towards making a lasting difference,” said the Medical Coordinator at Faith Mulira Health Care Centre.
